Welcome to the new website of Mimico Station!

We are excited to be launching this updated site as we enter into the next phase of the station’s journey towards full restoration and reuse.

We now have a site that is easier to navigate and maintain. Please explore this site and please do visit regularly.

Project Status

A lot has been done on the building exterior during 2010.  This includes some doors and windows built or rebuilt by our hard-working carpenter John.  Water and sewer connections have been completed to the building.  We would like to thank our Councillor Mark Grimes for his support and helping us to get the connections installed.

Major Milestones

1916 – building opened by Grand Trunk Railway
1989 – abandoned by CN
2001 – sold by CN
2003 – deputations to Council and Rotary Club, first community meetings
2004 – Mimico Station CO proposal accepted by City Council
2005 – incorporation and first station move
